A beautiful Saturday morning at the end of April. Time to sow some wildflower seeds!
The hardest part was cleaning up the areas where we wanted to plant.
I think I raked more than 10 million leaves. (Not as easy as it looks.)
The dogs helped us take short breaks throughout the morning.
Eventually, we were able to spread some lime, mix our seeds with rich compost, and sprinkle it in the prepared patches.
It’s hard to see in the photo, but the seeded patches are spread out to allow the remaining grass to stop any erosion.
Grow little flowers! We’re rooting for you!
