What’s Greg Up To NOW?

Since 2021, my home has been a remote cabin in New Hampshire’s beautiful White Mountains. I share the cabin with two incredible rescue dogs named Scully and Dexter Clove Thickwhsitle III. (We just call him Dex.) Together we’re collecting many lessons and stories of self-reliance and while it’s not as rustic and off-grid as some, you’ll need a very capable 4X4 if you plan to visit.

Consulting Firm

Alison and I have launched an audio intelligence biz called PatternSonix. We’re consulting with companies who are working on music/sound-based AI projects — working to improve industry’s application of music and sound technology. It feels really nice to be stretching my computing muscles again, and it’s super fun to be back in the machine learning/AI space — which is in overdrive in 2025.

In The Studio

I maintain numerous projects and collaborations in a dawless, linux-based music production studio built into my mountain cabin. You can hear my latest music here and/or watch a recent video from my fairly active YouTube channel.

Travels

Last spring Scully and I took an extended overland/camping trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains to escape New England’s dreaded mud season. It was a wonderful way to turn fifty. Perhaps I’ll need to look at a similar trip this year?
