Warren, NH was named in honor of Admiral Sir Peter Warren, who commanded a fleet (during the Canadian conflict, who knew?) which ended in the capture of Louisbourg, Nova Scotia, in 1745.
Very sad to learn that the Morse Museum in Warren, NH closed in 1992. I would have loved to visit.
Founded in 1763, 2013 marked the 250th year anniversary for Warren, NH.
Throughout NH, town meetings are held annually (every 2nd Tuesday in March) to elect officers and vote on town business.
Of the six towns named Warren in New England (one in each state), New Hampshire’s is the smallest by population.
