All of my best friends working together in a live performance of … guess who?
JX-3P from 1983
I’m noticing a trend here in the studio, and it doesn’t involve brand new gear…
How is it possible this beauty is nearly 40 years old?!?
Goodbye, Hello!
I’ve heard there are decaffeinated brands on the market that are as tasty as the real thing. In this case, not so much.
What’s this? I have a package, you say? Just in time…
Hallo, Roland System 500
Having thoroughly explored this wild little system of nostalgic goodness, it’s time to get busy rendering a new work for the upcoming show at National Sawdust.
(look for audio examples on Insta, SoundCloud, and YouTube in the coming weeks)
All The Sounds (in one place)
I’ve been waiting a long time for this… Roland’s new flagship performance synth in an ultra-portable package.
It’s 5-part multitimbral with highly detailed Zen-core engine models for the Juptier-8, Juno 106, JX-8P, SH-101, XV-5080 and the RD series pianos. In addition to Roland’s own vintage filter modeling, the XM includes Moog 24dB/oct ladder filter and a Sequential Curtis filter emulations!
All of this in a tiny 10 lbs. package with internal speakers. Absolutely perfect for working when I’m in the studio and on the road…
