Glad I have some good books on tape. This little home improvement project is clearly gonna take the rest of the summer to complete.
A Place to Sit…
…out of the dirt. Building a simple floating deck can’t be too hard, right?
Provided I master a few tools and a little patience.
Look at that! A quick tap o’ the hammer, and we have a lovely place to view the stars while resting from all the deck construction.
Spring South Part 1: Getting There
Provided you love winter, there’s only one NOT fun season of weather in the north country. It’s called MUD season and it’s truly awful because when several feet of snow melts you’re left with a sloppy mess that attracts an unending supply of biting bugs.
This year I was determined to escape and seek out an early spring. But first, a stop in Keene to assist with a little studio work and to visit with friends.
Bright and early on a chilly 23° morning, it was time to bundle up and head out!
Kiki got DUCKED at our first stop…
…and soon we found our first signs of spring. They wouldn’t be our last.
At Scully’s request, we stopped to smell the grass.
More March Snow
Somewhere under there is the wood from seven large trees that needs splitting.
Believe it or not, this snow is melting a bit… or maybe my ruler’s broken.
From too much snow.
But I’m starting to think this snow ain’t gonna melt itself.
Where did I put that hair dryer?
March Moon Madness
In case there was any confusion, THIS is why I live here.
16 Tons…
Well… I moved approximately 16 tons of snow and then collapsed on the floor.
Sculls snuggled close. She know what’s up.
