Today started out a bit misty, so we headed indoors to learn about the history of Provincetown and climb the Pilgrim Monument.
Perhaps the most important thing they want you to know right away is that the pilgrims landed HERE first! (They’re pretty serious about this…)
So with that important bit of history set straight, we learned about the historic artist colonies and whaling traditions that once defined this area.
We checked out a beautiful old doll house…
…and took in a bit of good old-fashioned nightmare fuel.
Once recovered, we prepared to climb the Pilgrim Monument!
Here’s the view from the top…
…and here’s the view down the middle.
But seriously, there’s A LOT of interesting history here.
The dogs wanted in on the action, so we took them to the see the Atlantic ocean.
We had a great time, but I missed Ruby Jean…
Ah well, we’ll just have to come back soon!
